Love it here! Ramen is delicious, the price is great, and the service is even better.
The ramen is enjoyable, but it is also nothing special. Frankly, it is pretty much the most basic ramen there is, at an average competitive price. If you want something hot on a cold winter day, this does the job.
Food was good (my ramen even had some orange peels! The details of the small things makes great difference in your ramen!), good price, service was good, it just took longer for us to pay because they only had 1 machine.
I regularly make the big trip from South Surrey to come here and order the miso ramen. Easily the best ramen place in all of Vancouver. I have been to several other ramen places but it is the combination of G-men's cozy ambiance and its savoury broth, its freshly made noodles, and its ability to provide efficient and warm customer service while respecting a customer's privacy that makes me want to come back. This is definitely on the top of my bucket list of places to go once physical distancing measures have been lifted!
Some of the best Ramen in BC. Just a tip people, the places that close in the afternoon then open again for Supper are the best places to go. Prices are all right but I have noticed an increase in price every 9 months to a year. They also have some of the better appetizers with more variety especially at night.
Waiting list, small and claustrophobic place with loud music. Menu says Ramen is spicy but it was sweet. Very subpar.
We came in pretty late and the area is extremely small and there was a pretty hefty waitlist, (we waited half an hour) but I really wanted to try this place while we were still in Richmond and I think it was worth it. The actual feel of the place is really welcoming and the portions were huge. The broth was balanced, but because there was so much of it, I felt pretty heavy leaving. There is some cute decor and suggestions on how to eat/season your ramen and overall, it was a memorable experience :)
Super service, great staff! I brought my two year old and they had all the necessary tools for her to enjoy and share our meal.
Excellent Ramen but come early as there's always a line-up. Staff are friendly and efficient. Parking can also be an issue during busy period. Parking is at the back of the strip mall. They only accept cash or debit card.
It is an ok restaurant, I like the seating how you are all seated in the separate booth so you don’t feel like you are eating with a bunch of strangers when it’s busy. The food amount is very generous! But I had so much better ramen in downtown Vancouver, the only difference is that, food potion is huge here compare to the ones in Vancouver, but flavor is better for the ones I tried in Vancouver !
This place is unhygienic. My friend ordered RCMP Spicy Ramen and I ordered Shio ramen. The next day we both have diarrhea.
Not bad but not the best. Noodles were mediocre. Broth was good. Gyoza was good. Not worth a second visit from my experience.
Best ramen I've ever eat! But, unfortunately, it's not possible to pay by credit card now. I don't want to pay by debit card (not secure for my account) and I don't take a lot of cash with me, only 1 dollar. Can you please return the credit card payment option, please?
Very very small space but excellent food! Love coming back here for their RCMP noodles or the tan tan. Everyone I've brought here from out of town really enjoys the food and atmosphere.
Go in to eat ramen without getting judged by the people around you, won't feel the shame of eating ramen all alone by yourself in your lonesome
Love it here! Ramen is delicious, the price is great, and the service is even better. The soup is very flavorful and not too greasy. The sides for the sets are very good as well. I especially love the fried rice.
Such amazing ramen. No waits and service was great.
Had a great experience here at G-Men. Fast, quick service and the staff are really friendly. The food is good, it's consistent, it's what I'd expect. I thoroughly enjoyed the ramen here and definitely will be back if I'm in the area.
Our go to stop for Ramen! Prefer G-men than most of Ramen spots in Vancouver! Broth is very flavorful, chicken karaage is fresh and service is always great!
Superb restaurant! When you arrive at your table either at the bar or the other tables, you get a glass of water. The staff are very friendly and always smiling. The service is very fast as well and making sure your glass of water is filled.I tried the takoyaki, the weekly special: beef bowl and to wash it down, I had a glass of lemon ice tea which had a strong lemony taste. The takoyaki melts in your mouth and it was the best I've tried in ages. The beef bowl was a huge portion for me. It would probably serve two people. The beef is placed on a bed of rice. Also you get some pickled ginger on the side with it which had a really strong bite to it, which was different.I would highly recommend this restaurant to lone travellers and/or groups etc.
The menu is simple yet the food is not. Most places uses pork bone broth, but this place uses chicken, very different. Need to come here more then once to try the many flavours and snacks.
I love G-Men @Nan Chiu Ramen. Great atmosphere and service.
A little bit salty but overall good food and service
My favourite ramen spot! Oh dont forget to try their chicken karaage as well!
Best authentic ramen in this neighborhood. Great choice for a one-hour lunch break. Plenty of free parking at lunch because other restaurants are closed.
Love the tan tan ramen, if you love peanut butter. Other ramen are also in spot, one of my favourite ramen place.
I come here every 2 or 3 weeks, the quality is quite consistent. My favorite is the RCMP(the spicy soup) with soft egg. The noodle and soup is good, however, the egg is over boiled, which affects the texture.
It was amazing. Great service, authentic japanese atmosphere. Fun interior. I would go put of my way for this place. Exceptional!
Amazing flavor. Service was great as well. Very chill spot, ample parking in the back. Will come back over dinner sometime to see their other items as well.
Good food, but lady took away our menu when we weren’t don’t ordering.
Good service, kind staff, and soup didn't taste artificial, very natural! Overall excellent experience, would recommend.
Overall the ramen was bland. The Tonkotsu Shoyou broth was good, but subtle. Noodles were ok. The toppings were bad, though, especially the chashu which tasted freezer burned.I'd skip this place.
Really delicious ramen and must try. With that said be prepared to wait because the place is so small and they have so many patrons. I would suggest going when it's not rush hour.
If you like peanut butter, the Tan-tan ramen is a must have! Such an amazing broth with aldente noodles cooked perfectly. Pair it with the tako yaki - literally melt in your mouth, so good!
The broth is too greasy and the Ajitsuke Tamago is not soft enough, plus I have to pay extra to get it. Don’t think it’s worth the visit.
